To design a furnace with good temperature uniformity, a significant amount of time is required for calculations and simulations. Carbolite Gero has accumulated decades of engineering experience and designed excellent heat treatment systems.

Atmosphere Box

Placing the sample in a sealed atmosphere box and operating it under a working atmosphere can improve the temperature uniformity within the effective space. For example, in rubber dispensing applications, the atmosphere box will be equipped with an exhaust port.

The multi zone temperature controlled tube furnace can compensate for the low temperature section at the end of the working tube. Three zone and eight zone temperature control are optional.

Exquisite design

High quality symmetrical design plays an important role in improving the temperature uniformity inside the furnace. Like an air circulation furnace, the preheated air is introduced into the furnace. When the furnace temperature is low, an air circulation system and special guide plates need to be installed.

The metal furnace uses metal radiation protection plates to continuously reflect heat into the interior of the sample, and the outermost layer is a water cooling layer. To optimize temperature uniformity, it is necessary to maintain a high degree of symmetry among the water-cooled layer, radiating metal plate, and heating element.

Graphite and ceramic fiber insulation materials have low thermal conductivity and are high-quality materials for furnace insulation. The thickness and quality of insulation materials are usually carefully selected based on the maximum operating temperature of the furnace.
